A-Plant, one of the UK's leading non-operated plant and tool hire companies, has won the 'Best Contribution to Health & Safety' Award for the second year running at the Hire Association Europe 2009 'Hire Awards of Excellence' ceremony. Paul Burns, A-Plant Sales Director for London, collected the award on behalf of the company at the glittering event held at the Landmark Hotel in London. Also for the second year running, A-Plant, has won a prestigious Gold Occupational Health and Safety Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The RoSPA Awards recognise the work that goes into reducing the number of accidents and causes of ill-health at work. They are bestowed on organisations that have excellent health and safety management systems in place. Sat Dhaiwal added: "At A-Plant, health and safety management is a primary focus, covering both the company's workforce and the customers who use the company's products. As shown by the raft of health and safety awards and certifications we have won recently, we are achieving our aim to continue to raise the bar in Health & Safety and have made a substantial investment in Training initiatives and our organisational procedures to ensure the safety of our employees and customers."
