  • 3D Diamond Grid arrangement of diamonds gives extended performance
  • 30% more life, 50% faster.
  • Less complex range – covering universal materials and applications
  • Laminate blade structures for low noise and low vibration

Makita has restructured its comprehensive laser welded diamond blade range.  A broad inventory of new and advanced technology has been built into the product range which enables a substantial reduction in the total number of blades required to meet the most comprehensive task list of the construction and infrastructure operators.

The key science attribute of the new Makita range is the 3D-diamond grid technology where each individual diamond particle is placed accurately in a three dimensional grid pattern on each segment of the blade rather than the traditional random bonding of diamond grits. By specifically placing the diamonds accurately, both the wear and cutting performance are far more accurately predicted hence the claim of 30% more cutting capacity and 50% faster cutting ability.

The high quality control of the 3D diamond grid improved distribution and bonding of the diamond particles enables a broader spectrum of materials to be covered by a blade specification thus reducing range complexity.

The introduction of Stealth technology employs proven technology with a blade blank manufactured with a sandwich of materials dampening harmful noise levels and vibrations.  Not only protecting the operator and machine,  Makita Stealth Technology  blades noise reducing properties are particularly suited to use on construction sites where members of the public may also be effected by noise pollution.

The new Makita Diamond blade range features three technology bands all featuring the ground breaking 3D diamond grid technology above 230mm diameter.  Quasar the premium product has the best life and speed across the widest range of materials, featuring 12mm “M” shaped segment and options of re-enforced boss and cooling holes or stealth technology.  The mid range

Comet series also features cooling holes and stealth technology; with quick start 10mm segments.  Finally the Neutron series offers the most economical way to this technology still having 10mm segment height laser welded to a standard blade blank.   Comet and Neutron are also available in two variants “Enduro” for extended blade life or “Rapide” especially designed for enhanced speed of cut.
